Matthew O'Callaghan is a renowned director, animator, and storyboard artist. He was born in Chicago and attended the Character Animation Program at CalArts. He began his career at Disney, working on well-known films such as The Little Mermaid, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and The Great Mouse Detective.
He created the animated series The Itsy Bitsy Spider for Paramount and collaborated with comedian Louie Anderson to create the award-winning TV series Life with Louie for Fox.
Additionally, O’Callaghan directed Universal's Curious George, Disney’s Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, Sony's Open Season 2, theatrical 3D Looney Tunes shorts for Warner Bros., YouTube Tangled shorts for Disney, and episodes of the Mickey Mouse Funhouse series. He also served as a showrunner and executive producer for the Bentkey series Chip Chilla.
